Title: Untitled
Date: 1970
Materials: Photo-electric beams, 9 projecting coloured spot and flood lights, 500-2k watts, electromagnetic actuator, electric motor, steel, stepped motor and programmer

Description: The position of the rod triggered two photo-electric beams that switched on or off the individual coloured lights. These projected back onto the sculpture and cast its silhouette onto the wall behind. Its position in space could be expressed by the different colour and shape compositions that were constructed onto this wall. Participants walked through and under the work and interrupted the photo-electric beams and caused the movement of the work and the lighting structure to change accordingly. This was an interactive environment that emphasised time-based activities

Location: Installation View, ICA, Nash House, London. 1971
